We invite the community to join us for a SALT workshop to be hosted by SALT Astronomy Operations on the 14 and 15th November 2022. We will provide guidance on how SALT works and tips on how to get the most out of the telescope, with practical sessions on the proposal and simulator tools, the instruments and types of data produced by SALT, and how to reduce it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

VENUE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will take place at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) headquarters in Cape Town. It will be a hybrid event, with an option to join via Zoom for those who cannot make it in person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

NB: For in-person attendance, please register by 15 October if you would like to apply for travel funding, and 31 October otherwise. Registration for online attendees will remain open until the week before the workshop.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
